TIMNA ROSE,
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
studio ATARA, founded in 2017 by Creative Director Timna Rose, is a small dynamic interior design studio based in North London, providing it’s residential clients across London & the South East with unique, contemporary eclectic designs, that reflect their varied tastes & budgets. The studio approaches every project with a fresh, open mind and an individually tailored design eye; providing a cohesive backdrop to allow their clients' homes & personalities to shine through.
Eclectic to us is about being inclusive, accessible & diverse, with both style & ideas. Paired with contemporary design principles, we offer cohesive, space enhancing, interesting & pragmatic designs. We put a lot of emphasis on interpreting our clients’ vision also; to identify their true inner, distinctive style. Remaining mindful at all times of the way they live, what they love and what they don't! Working with them to create a home that is stylish, enticing and above-all, truly theirs.
We love to honour the character & stripped back integrity of a building, always leaning heavily towards raw, natural materials and a considered, sustainable approach where possible.
Here at studio ATARA, we imaginatively create original design schemes, with well thought out, practical solutions. Creating and developing the base concept, including space planning, sourcing furniture, lighting & finishes to provide our clients with a complete tender pack. With this, we can also help with the process of appointing trusted building professionals and managing the design side during the build to ensure it adheres to the approved design. Always carefully guiding and working with our clients throughout the whole process.
Over the years, we have built up great working relationships with a wide range of contracting teams, trades & industries, as well as hundreds of suppliers across the world. This enables us to draw on this pool to help select the best collaborators for the job!
If you haven’t worked with a designer before and are considering it, we would be happy to chat through the design process & our transparent fee structure and to hear your thoughts, dreams & vision for your project - with no obligation. We pride ourselves on being approachable & personable, providing a clear & simple service. We base our fee on the scope of work and square meterage. For those looking for ideas or advice, we also offer a consultation service.

A bit about Timna - a successful photographic stylist for 20 years before a change in career 8 years ago, to Interior Design...Studying at the University of Arts London in Chelsea, she then worked in an international design studio based in South London, designing & managing her own projects for several years prior to taking those initial steps towards design autonomy! Firstly by co-creating the highly successful interior design practice Cooley & Rose, alongside fellow designer Nina Cooley before branching out to set up studio ATARA, where she has continued along the same strong design principles & ethos.
