OUR APPROACH

The range of services we offer are shown below. We remain flexible with our involvement, offering some or all of the below to suit your individual project. 

 

Following initial contact and discussions, we like to meet with the clients, ideally in the property, to listen to their requirements, ideas and aspirations. We aim to get an idea about budget, timeframe and to discuss the scope of work. We then draw up a fee proposal to cover all phases required.

1/ BRIEFING 

On appointment, we will meet again with the clients to go through their preferences, likes & dislikes. How they live their lives now coupled with how they would like to live in their perfect world. We can also carry out a site survey, to take accurate measurements and electrical & plumbing details to enable us to draw up plans for space planning and detailed CAD drawings.

2/ DESIGN CONCEPT

Working with the information gleaned at the briefing, we commence the design process giving individual, imaginative thought to the project. Firstly we consider the layout and plan the space - offering a number of options for space enhancing the structure and layout. We put together concept image boards to visually describe the overall scheme. From these we select samples of materials for each surface; create furniture and lighting boards; draw up layout plans and provide hand drawn, rendered perspective sketches; all of which we present to give an overview of how the proposed space will look at the presentation meeting. We often give 2 options from which the client can chose, depending on how specific the brief is. After the presentation, the clients will then receive a digital copy to keep for their reference & consideration.

3/ DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Following the concept presentation, once we have the clients feedback, we develop each idea and put these into place using computer aided design (CAD). On presentation of this stage you will receive a set of detail design drawings to go to tender, including: Changes to structural layout, Elevations of each wall, Lighting and Electrical plans, Detail Drawings for any bespoke items and a Schedule of Works which lists the works needed to be carried out, for a builder to be able to quote from & onto. We also narrow down the choice of materials for each application with your approval. We can also include budget allocation for procurement items within this phase.

4/ SOURCING/PROCUREMENT

Our ever growing, eclectic range of suppliers and knowledge of products can be passed on by way of a transparent procurement schedule; which will provide stylish, quality & considered items for your home. We receive trade discounts up to 40% which we pass on to you. We are here to obtain quotes, comparisons, process orders and organise deliveries to you. We cover our time for this by applying a small admin fee to the trade price.

5/ CONSTRUCTION

Whether we recommend trusted builders or work with your preferred choice, we can help you to gain quotes and give guidance on this process. We always recommend an initial kick off meeting with the builder to go through the design drawings and build schedule on site.

6/ DESIGN MANAGEMENT

Throughout the build we manage the design either on or off site to ensure adherence to the design; to monitor the quality of work and to receive & check the materials & items on site. Also included in this part of the service is managing any after sales issues with suppliers, should there be any problems after the point of sale. This is quite useful for those who may be low on time or wish to have absolute peace of mind. 

If the client has chosen to manage the build stage of the project, we are there for them on a consultation basis to assist if necessary.

7/ STYLING

To complete the project we can help with adding those finishing touches, by accessorising or advise on how to style our clients homes. We like to photograph our projects for our portfolio, which we pass on to our clients also, as a parting gift.

8/ CONSULTATION

We also offer a consultation only service, for those simply looking for advice or guidance on sourcing, for which we simply charge an hourly rate.

9/ FEES

Our fees are based on the square meterage of the space, combined with our scope of work.
